Independent National Sales Director Emeritus Nancy Sullivan inspired the audience as a special guest speaker.

Inspired while attending Seminar 2006, Independent Beauty Consultant Rose Carlino, a breast cancer survivor, yearned to use her catering talents to further the Foundation's mission. In an “a-ha” idea moment, the Annual Ladies' Tea emerged.

On October 14, 2007, an exuberant group of 100 girls and women gathered for the 2nd Annual Ladies' Tea in Lancaster, Pa. Delighting in a scrumptious sit-down tea party, they enjoyed Rose's dainty finger sandwiches, raspberry tea and scones. Through donations, a silent auction and ticket sales, an amazing $4,105 was raised, more than tripling last year's donation.

For the second year, Independent Sales Directors Barb Augustine and Roseanne Bair and their units did a fabulous job of setting everything up and ensuring the event ran smoothly. Beauty Consultants modeled the latest Dress Barn fashions for a fun fall/holiday fashion show.

A representative from The Lancaster Shelter for Abused Women, grant recipient from the Foundation, informed the group about domestic violence and the difference the grant made to the shelter. Attendees learned firsthand how their efforts were impacting their community.
